We woke up before the sunrise but stayed in bed and managed to miss it a again! We still enjoyed the beautiful spectacle of the lake being of a bright silver colour when the sun is still very low. We had breakfast with the family and again were very annoyed at them as they tried to push us to buy souvenirs. When we paid them for the night and the meals we even didn't hear a thank you...what a difference to Amantani. On Taquille the tourism is all about money, the inhabitants have realy been corrupted by the tourism. We spent the rest of the morning walking along the side of the island that we had not explored the previous day. Again we really enjoyed the beautiful landscapes under the sun, having the feeling to be on the sea coast. After a quick meal with the familly which was not that good, we went to the port to catch a boat back to Puno, going down the famous 500 stairs. The 3h to go back to Puno were very long but we saw very nice landscapes on the way. We arrived in Puno under the rain, not a surprised as during the rainy season the rain come every afternon.
By the way all the guide books and the residents of Amantani and Taquille will tell you that there are no dogs on those island............false information, we found ou that there is at least one dog on each island!
