We left Ko Phi Phi under the sun and arrived in Krabi under the rain :( We planned to stay only a day but because of the rain our washing was not ready on time (!) so we had to stay another day. Krabi town has nothing special to offer but the beaches around Krabi that can be reached by boat or collective taxis are very nice (from Ralley Beach we have been told that there is a very steep track up the cliff to access a lagoon at the top which is apparently very nice). Because of the rain we did not go to those beaches, instead we did a short trip on the river. We got a boat at the Chaofa Pier for Bh250, the first offer we got was Bh500! Anyway the tour was not worth Bh250, so Bh500 would have been a rip off! The guy did the tour that they all offer, he took us to a cave which was not that nice and then approached the mangrove forest for us to see monkeys, but the monkeys did not want to show up! The only interesting part was when he took us to a fishermen village, where a fisherman showed us in his "aquarium" some very weird fishes, see pictures. Despite the weather we had a good time in Krabi as we found an excellent coffee place to have breakfast, lunch and very good coffees. In the evenings we had dinners at the night market, a very authentic place to eat good but very cheap food.
