We had no rain in Cairns but the weather was too hot, too humid, impossible to stay too long away from a fan without melting! We did have a lazy day in this relaxing town. In the evening when the temperature dropped a bit we walked along the Cairns Foreshore Promenade and really liked it. At the end of the promenade there is a massive swimming pool, a 4800m2 saltwater lagoon, with stunning views on the bay, a great place to cool down. We liked Cairns and definitely would like to come back at a better time of the year when the temperatures are nicer under a blue and cloudless sky.
