It was raining when we woke up and it kept raining until the end of the afternoon! That was good as the temperature dropped to a nicer level, however it was not the best weather to visit Brisbane, the third city in Australia. We still had a nice and relaxing day; spent some time on the Internet, did some shopping on the pedestrian Queen Street Mall (where there are lotsssssss of shops!) and had a nice lunch in one of the numerous food courts of Brisbane. The only places of interests that we saw were the Anzac Square which must be a nice place to relax on a sunny day and the city hall from which you can have a nice point of view on the city (we didn't, due to the weather!). In the evening we drove to the airport, returned our rented car and caught our Jetstar flight to Cairns. At the small airport of Cairns we got the shuttle bus to the centre (AU$10 for one, AU$15 for two) which drops you at your hostel. We then tried to fall asleep despite the very hot temperature. Funny story, we had already been in Queensland for 4 days and only remembered today in the morning, waiting for the Internet café to open, that there is an hour difference between Queensland and New South Wales!
