After having a beautiful breakfast with Claire and Mateo, we headed towards the Chimborazo 6310m, the highest mountain in Ecuador. The car ride took around an hour and gave us the opportunity to do nice pictures from the back of the pick up. The entrance to the Chimborazo National Park is $10 for foreigners but Claire and Andres negociated and we only paid $2 like Ecuadorians. We had to leave the car at the 1rst shelter, 4800m, and walked to the second one 5000m. The walk looked easy when we started it but it took us 1h and lots of efforts to reach the 2nd shelter where we had hot drinks. The way back was much easier. Driving back we saw lots of wild lamas as the mist was less dense. For lunch we went to Guano to try the famous chorizo and the fritada. Later in Riobamba we had another try to find trousers for Laurence and this time we were succesful. This was a very long and tiring day.
