We were not very lucky with the weather as it rained until about 1pm. We have been forced to change our plans and instead of horse riding we did some shopping so Laurence could buy back some souvenirs, similar to the once that had been stolen. At around 2pm we all caught a bus to Riobamba, where Claire & Andres lives. The trip was 2h long via Ambato as the road between Banos and Riobamba is closed since it has been destroyed by a volcano eruption two years ago. When we arrived in Riobamba, Matteo was very happy to see us. We also met Andres´ grandma and spent the rest of the day looking for trousers for Laurence. Finding a 3-part trekking trousers turned out to be impossible in Riobamba. Afterwards we had a dinner with Claire, Andres and his Mum in aparently the best pizza place in town.
