We woke up late and found out that it was raining, so we stayed at our hotel to try to plan our stay in Malaysia. When the rain stopped later in the afternoon we went to the city centre. On our way we saw the nice caravelle of the maritime museum (used by the Portuguese during the XVI century) and stopped at the very touristic Red Place (all the buildings around it are red!). Around this place you can find the nice Christ Church built by the Dutch and Stadhuys which is now a museum but used to be the house of the Dutch governors. We went to Chinatown for lunch and then decided to go back to the hotel as we were very tired. However we stopped at one of the big shopping centres on our way and the air conditioning revived us. So we ended up doing shopping, having a coffee and dinner! We were surprised by the contrast between the dirty and messy streets of the town and those very clean and modern shopping centres. Moreover this is weird to see all the fake products sold apparently without any problems in shops located in those brand new shopping centres.
