We had quite a good night sleep as our wagon being not full each passenger could sleep on two seats. In the Ghan there are showers and towels available for passengers, even for the cheapest tickets, so that's great to refresh you in the morning. The breakfast bought at the bar was nice as was our roast for dinner the previous day. We arrived on time in Adelaide and really liked the lower temperature, still hot, 30C, but better than 40C! We checked in at the big but very nice YHA and then went to explore the city centre. After lunch we went for a walk in the nice Botanic Gardens and then visited the busy Central Market located next to Chinatown. Adelaide is a small but plaisant town. We came back on time at the hostel to watch the semi- final of the US open between Djokovich and Federer.
