Monday 28/04/2008 - LAOS, Pakse

Today the plan was to start a 4 days motorbike tour of the Bolaven Plateau but at 5am we were awaken by a thunderstorm with very heavy rain. When we got up it was still raining and as it did not look like it will stop we decided to give back our motorbike and postpone our trip to the next day. Before giving back the motorbike a guy at our hotel kindly helped us to empty the tank and put our petrol in plastic bottles...we had filled up the tank the day before in order to be ready to go early the next morning and we did not want to "donate" all this petrol to the hotel we rented the motorbike from! In Asia when renting motorbikes you always get an empty tank with just enough petrol to go to the petrol station and if you return the motorbike with a full tank you won't get any money for it.
It rained until 3pm so we spent the day relaxing. While having a very nice cappuccino in Sinouk Café, we met a French couple who are also doing a trip around the world. It was very interesting to share our travel experiences.
