Nicky and DJ took us to the city centre of Melbourne for us to visit the second largest city in Australia. The weather was better than when we arrived as it did not rain but it was still cloudy. We went to the Queen Victoria market where you can find all sorts of food from all over the world. Gosia was very happy as we bought some Polish pierogis! We then wandered in the busy streets of the CBD (Central Business District) and had lunch in the busy food court of Southgate. After lunch we walked along the Yarra River and saw the Rod Laver Arena where the Australian Open Tennis Championships are played in January. We ended our walk at Federation Square, a plaza surrounded by museums and restaurants, which is a popular after-work drinking spot. We then caught a train at Flinders street station (the main train station) back to Croydon where Nicky lives.
