Today we tried out jet boating. In the afternoon we have been picked up by a very funny guide who drove us with other tourists to the Skipper canyon via the scary Skipper Canyon road (you cannot go on this road with rented vehicles!). On the way our guide pointed out some rocks named as per their specific shapes (Gorilla rock, Castle rock, Mushroom rock, ...) and gave us some information about the gold rush that happened in the area. The jet boat ride was fun, especially the 360' turns, but not scary at all. It was impressive to see what can be done with those boats. The driver stopped at some points to show us old bungee jump bridges and gave us some more information about the time when Skipper's canyon was full of 4000 people searching for gold! Back in Queenstown we had a lovely meal in an Irish pub and spent our last evening in New Zealand experiencing the buzz of a Friday night in Queenstown.
